Just a little bit ago I made my very first cross stitch, you can check it out here:
Over the following couple days, I wanted more. It was a great change of pace to start and finish a project so quickly.
I looked through a bunch of different patterns and charts and finally settled on this cute little fox from here. It was small, and I already had colors I could use for it. I used these: DMC 3777, 919, 976, and 977. Hopefully the autumnal vibes will bring some milder temperatures my way.
It's a little more complex than the heart I started with, and it went great! Not having just straight bands of color made it almost feel like a paint by number. When I finished the cross stitch part, it didn't quite feel done. Embroidering the border with just one strand of black embroidery floss made a HUGE difference in my opinion. I am definitely going to put this one in a little frame!
